Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of OneCut (“OneCut,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including our website, applications, and AI-assisted video editing services.

By accessing or using OneCut after these Terms become effective, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using OneCut after the service launches, you agree to these Terms and any additional terms that apply to specific features.

If you use OneCut on behalf of a company, organization, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.

2. Description of the Service

OneCut is an AI-assisted video editing service designed primarily for short-form and talking-head content.

Depending on the features available, OneCut may analyze uploaded video or audio to identify or assist with:

  • Pauses and silence
  • Filler words
  • False starts
  • Repeated takes
  • Unwanted sections
  • Captions or transcripts
  • Other editing opportunities

OneCut may generate suggested edits or automatically apply certain edits based on your instructions and the features available at the time.

Features may change, be added, removed, or modified as OneCut develops.

3. User Accounts

Some OneCut features may require an account.

If you create an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information
  • Keep your login credentials secure
  • Not share your account in a way that violates the service rules
  • Notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization

You are responsible for activity occurring through your account, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of the videos, audio, transcripts, images, text, and other materials that you upload to OneCut (“User Content”).

By uploading User Content, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own the content or have sufficient rights and permissions to use it;
  • You have permission to process the content through OneCut;
  • Your use of the content does not violate applicable law or third-party rights;
  • Your use of the content complies with applicable platform rules and agreements.

You remain solely responsible for your User Content and how you use or publish content created using OneCut.

OneCut does not claim ownership of your User Content.

We do not intend to publicly publish or sell your User Content. We may process, transmit, store, or access User Content as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the service, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

We may suspend or restrict access to content or accounts where reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce these Terms, protect the service, or respond to security or abuse concerns.

5. License to Process User Content

You grant OneCut the limited rights necessary to host, transmit, reproduce, modify, analyze, and process your User Content solely as reasonably necessary to provide the services you request.

For example, this may include processing video through transcription or AI systems, generating an edited version, creating captions, or temporarily storing files while processing your request.

This license does not transfer ownership of your User Content to OneCut.

The license ends when the applicable processing or retention period ends, except where continued processing or retention is reasonably necessary for legal, security, dispute-resolution, or other legitimate purposes described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use OneCut to:

  • Violate applicable laws or regulations;
  • Infringe copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, publicity rights, or other third-party rights;
  • Upload content that you do not have permission to process;
  • Upload malicious software or intentionally harmful material;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user's account, files, or information;
  • Circumvent authentication, security, usage limits, or other technical restrictions;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of OneCut;
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract proprietary components of the service except where permitted by applicable law;
  • Abuse automated systems, APIs, or infrastructure;
  • Use the service for fraudulent or deceptive activities.

We may take reasonable action against accounts or activity that violate these restrictions.

7. AI-Generated and AI-Assisted Editing

OneCut uses artificial intelligence and automated systems to assist with video editing.

AI-generated results may contain errors. For example, OneCut may incorrectly identify a pause, filler word, false take, sentence, or other portion of a recording.

AI systems may also misunderstand context, speaker intent, sarcasm, pronunciation, accents, or other characteristics of your content.

You are responsible for reviewing generated edits before using or publishing them.

OneCut does not guarantee that AI-generated or AI-assisted edits will be accurate, complete, appropriate, or suitable for a particular purpose.

8. Your Responsibility Before Publishing

You are responsible for reviewing the final output before publishing, distributing, or otherwise using it.

This includes checking:

  • Video cuts
  • Audio
  • Captions
  • Transcriptions
  • Names and terminology
  • Claims made in the content
  • Copyrighted material
  • Brand or product references
  • Compliance with applicable platform policies

OneCut is an editing tool and does not guarantee that content produced through the service will be accepted, promoted, monetized, or approved by TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or another platform.

9. Intellectual Property

OneCut and its underlying software, technology, branding, designs, interfaces, documentation, logos, trademarks, and other service materials are owned by OneCut or its licensors.

Except for the rights expressly granted under these Terms, no ownership rights are transferred to you.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, lease, or commercially exploit OneCut's proprietary materials except as expressly permitted by us or applicable law.

10. Third-Party Services

OneCut may rely on third-party services for hosting, storage, authentication, AI processing, transcription, analytics, payments, communications, or other infrastructure.

These providers may include services such as Supabase, Vercel, OpenAI, Groq, payment providers, email providers, and other infrastructure providers.

Your use of certain features may also be subject to the terms and policies of those third parties.

OneCut is not responsible for the independent operation, availability, or policies of third-party services.

11. Credits and Payments

The planned paid offering is:

  • $19.90 one-time purchase
  • 100 credits
  • 1 credit = 1 minute of raw footage uploaded for processing

OneCut may also provide a free allowance of 3 credits per account. The free allowance is intended as a one-time allocation and does not automatically renew each month.

These pricing and credit rules may change before paid plans launch.

Payments are not currently active. Before any payment is processed, the applicable price, taxes, payment terms, credit rules, refund policy, and other relevant purchasing information will be presented to you.

Credit usage may be calculated according to the duration of raw footage submitted for processing. OneCut may define technical rules for rounding, minimum processing durations, failed processing attempts, and other credit-related situations before launch.

12. Refunds

Because paid purchases are not currently active, no production refund policy is currently in effect.

Before paid plans become available, OneCut will publish the applicable refund and cancellation terms.

Nothing in these Terms limits any refund or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

13. Service Availability and Changes

OneCut is a developing service and may experience interruptions, bugs, maintenance periods, or changes.

We may:

  • Add or remove features;
  • Modify processing methods;
  • Change pricing;
  • Change credit requirements;
  • Suspend particular features;
  • Perform maintenance;
  • Temporarily restrict access;
  • Discontinue the service or portions of it.

We will provide notice where required by applicable law.

We do not guarantee that OneCut will always be available or uninterrupted.

14. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, OneCut is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that:

  • The service will always be available;
  • The service will be error-free;
  • AI-generated edits will be accurate;
  • Processing will always complete successfully;
  • Uploaded files will never be lost or corrupted;
  • The service will satisfy every particular creative requirement;
  • Content produced through OneCut will achieve a particular number of views, engagement, revenue, or other result.

You remain responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of important source material.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, OneCut and its owners, operators, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or similar damages arising from or related to your use of the service.

This may include losses relating to:

  • Lost profits;
  • Lost revenue;
  • Lost business opportunities;
  • Loss of data;
  • Loss of content;
  • Business interruption;
  • Platform restrictions;
  • Content moderation;
  • Copyright claims;
  • Publishing decisions;
  • AI-generated editing errors.

Any final liability limitations, exclusions, and applicable exceptions will be determined through legal review and applicable law.

16. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless OneCut and its owners, employees, contractors, and service providers from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:

  • Your User Content;
  • Your violation of these Terms;
  • Your unlawful use of the service;
  • Your infringement of another person's rights;
  • Your misuse of OneCut;
  • Your violation of applicable third-party platform rules.

The final scope of this provision is subject to applicable law and legal review.

17. Termination

You may stop using OneCut at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your access if:

  • You materially violate these Terms;
  • You use the service unlawfully;
  • Your activity creates a security or operational risk;
  • Your account is associated with fraud or abuse;
  • We are required to do so by law;
  • We discontinue the service.

Where appropriate and legally required, we may provide notice or an opportunity to resolve the issue before termination.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination may continue to apply, including provisions concerning intellectual property, User Content, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute-related matters.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as OneCut develops.

When material changes are made, we may update the effective date and provide additional notice where required.

If you continue using OneCut after updated Terms become effective, your continued use may constitute acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

19. Governing Law and Disputes

The governing law, jurisdiction, venue, and dispute-resolution procedures applicable to the production service will be specified in the final legally reviewed Terms.

Nothing in this section is intended to remove any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
